Welcome to the first episode of Fly Tricks: Where Beginners Learn to Tie Flies with fly-tying guide extraordinaire, Michael Orlowski and his apprentice, Cortney Brown. Each month we’ll release an instructional tying video with tips and tricks to help you become a better fly tier.
In this episode, Mikey teaches Cortney how to tie an alevin fly.
For this episode, your gonna need a straight-eye hook size 8-14 (or a curved egg-style caddis-type hook), Mylar, zap-a-gap, your favourite orange yarn, stick-on eyes, UV-cure epoxy or aqua seal and, of course, Zap-a-Gap!
Grab a cold beer, lemonade, or glass of water and enjoy our first of many fly-tying videos.
